Shipping policy
📦 1. Domestic Shipping – GLS
1.1. Scope of Application
All shipments within Italy are governed by the General Terms and Conditions of GLS Italy, with standard deliveries within 24–48 hours. The customer accepts that any special conditions are valid only if formalised in writing and signed by GLS.
1.2. Weighing and Dimensions
-
Boxes up to 500 kg are accepted
-
Costs may be based on dimensional or actual weight, whichever is greater
-
Packaging: new or sturdy boxes with internal padding and secure sealing
1.3. Delivery and Collection Attempts
GLS makes at least two delivery attempts; in case of absence, the parcel will be reassigned to a GLS Depot or Parcel Shop.
The recipient has 10 working days to collect the parcel; after this period, the sender bears return and storage costs (~€5.20 for up to 5 days).
1.4. Flex Delivery and Additional Services
-
“Smart Delivery” service: the recipient can modify the delivery date or pickup location within 3 working days.
-
Additional paid options: insurance, SMS notifications, delivery to upper floors, road surcharge, etc.
1.5. Liability and Limitations
-
GLS does not guarantee ultra-precise delivery times; delays may occur due to factors beyond control (e.g. strikes, accidents).
-
The sender is responsible for correct addresses, suitable packaging, and accurate declarations of weight and dimensions: mistakes may lead to additional costs and delays.
🌍 2. International Shipping – FedEx
2.1. Shipping Contract
The FedEx Express Terms & Conditions and the applicable Service Guide apply, as updated at the shipping date. Any conditions agreed via a FedEx account prevail only if documented and signed.
2.2. Services and Delivery Times
-
Express shipping services available (Priority, Economy, etc.) with average times from 2 to 6+ days depending on destination.
-
All international services include “broker-inclusive” customs clearance for shipments up to USD 500,000. You may also appoint your own broker.
2.3. Declared Value, Liability Cover and Insurance
-
Declaring the value (Declared Value / Carriage Value) is mandatory, as it defines liability and compensation in case of damage or loss.
-
Additional insurance can be requested separately.
2.4. Weight and Dimensions
-
FedEx applies the greater of actual or dimensional weight when calculating the rate.
-
The sender is responsible for accurate measurement and declaration.
2.5. Liability, Claims and Limitations
-
Liability is governed by international conventions (Warsaw / Montreal) and FedEx conditions.
-
Deadlines and procedures for claims/documentation must comply with the current Service Guide.
-
FedEx may unilaterally modify conditions and rates, unless otherwise agreed in writing by a FedEx legal officer.
2.6. Prohibited or Dangerous Goods
-
The official list of prohibited or restricted items must be followed as per the FedEx T&Cs and Service Guide (e.g. dangerous goods, foodstuffs, medicines, etc.).
🔐 Customs Duties Clause
Customs Duties and Import Fees
For all international shipments outside Italy, any customs duties, local taxes, and clearance charges are the full responsibility of the buyer.
The amount may vary based on the destination country, declared value, and type of goods.
If these charges are not paid by the recipient, the shipment may be held, returned, or destroyed by local authorities without refund rights.
